The Act of Allowing
by Rev. Rita Scheibeck
I am frequently asked about the closing statement to my meditations. When I write my prayers and affirmations, I always end them with the benediction: "I now allow, acknowledge, accept and affirm that these things are so."
This week I will focus on the first verb of this phrase, "allow." To allow means that I give permission to the ideas that I have spoken to enter my conscious mind. I let or give space to the ideas in my heart and soul. When I grant a thought access into my consciousness, I welcome its presence there, taking the possibility of the words into account and letting them take root in my mind. I also empower the idea, giving it strength in my soul and authority in my life.
Affirmation: I release any distractions and concerns during times of peaceful contemplation. I now create a sacred connection to the wisdom and guidance of Divine Source Energy.
Benediction: I now allow, acknowledge, accept and affirm that these things are so.

I love this. Thank you for sharing!
When I do Healing Touch on my congregants (all Hands-On Healing is a Holy Venture), if they ask how the energy work will support healing if they don't believe in it. I show a minuscule space between 2 fingers and affirm that they don't need to believe, all they need to do is have just "This Much" ALLOW - just a tiny, tiny allow can be the space for a miracle. I have not had one person reject the offer to simply allow. It transcends the conscious. Thank you Rev Rita, as always, for your wisdom.
