Breathing Peace
by Rev. Rita Scheibeck
I breathe peace into my day! How many times has someone tried to soothe me by saying "It's okay, just breathe." I heed this advice often, and frequently share it with others.
Just breathe. Simply thinking these two words causes me to stop what I'm doing and refocus. If the day is not going the way I had planned, if my interaction with a friend or colleague is causing stress, if I am experiencing overload at work or at home, I pause and just breathe.
With each breath, I slow my heartbeat and release. I disconnect from the busyness or anxiety of the world to enter my inner space where I feel my Oneness with Divine Source. In this special place, I relax, regroup, and ready myself for the rest of the day.
Affirmation: I respond to any stress from my place of peace, simply by breathing.
I now allow, acknowledge, accept, and affirm that this is so.
