Wise Words Wednesday with Rev. Deb - Week 2
We've added a new category to the ADL Blog - a VLOG section.
What is a vlog?
A vlog is a blog in video form; short for a video blog or video log.
If so inspired, feel free to communicate your message of the divine via video and we'll post it for all to see and hear.
Rev. Debbie Holden is starting us off with her weekly video series "Wise Words Wednesday with Rev. Deb" - Enjoy!

Rev. Deb,
I love that you described and reminded us about the symbolism and intentions behind and within ADL...a great review for us all.
Great 2nd week! P.S. Can you tell us more about KB?
Hi Rev. Lynda,
Thank you so much for your loving words. I'm so glad you are enjoying my VLOGs! I really appreciate your weekly input! KB is an unhoused person I met in Austin TX. Their family is in Houston and they are trying to get on their own feet and working 2 jobs. They staying in a local Starbucks as much as they can and is trying to save enough money to get an apt. As you know, you need first, last and a months security, so it's hard to get started. My goal is to raise enough to give them one months rent. I'm trying to keep this as anonymous as possible. I will include more about it in one of my next few videos. Thanks for letting me know!
Where on the ADL website is the place to create a vlog? Is there a way for others to participate on the vlog? Could this be like a Zoom kinda podcast? These are the questions that keep me up at night! :)
Questions 1. I create my VLOGs on my SM accounts and post them to TikTok, FB, IG, and YouTube. Once my mentors approve them, I fill out a Content submission form (on the ADL website) and they are approved by other ASL ministers. Once they are approved by them, they are uploaded to the website by the Website tech person. Due to this process, my SM is a several weeks in front of the ADL Website. This week I'm posting week 6, I think ADL has only posted Week 2.
Question 2. The way people can participate on my VLOGs is by liking and commenting on my SM accounts. I will address these comments and questions every few weeks.
Question 3. For my internship, I am creating 1-3 minutes VLOGs. I haven't really considered doing a podcast. However, this would be very cool. Currently, I'm not getting very many likes or comment. Therefore, it is not something I am considering at the moment. Once I have more consistent engagement and people are interested in having a podcast type dialog, I would be open to starting a podcast and have guest ADL ministers on to have conversations. I'll sign you up to be my first guest!
I hope I have answered your questions satisfactorily so you can get a good nights sleep tonight! Thank you so much for your continued support of my work!
Much Love,
