One of the joys of being an Alliance of Divine Love minister is helping others. Easter of '09 was no different. Again the Alliance of Divine Love pooled their efforts to donate 80 (yes, eighty) Easter Baskets to the Children's Home Society in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Jane Snell, the volunteer coordinator of the Children's Home Society, was so thrilled to have these lovely brightly colored baskets for distribution to many of their programs. She said, "Your dedication to our mission is reflected in the many things you do to help the children in our care. Together we are working to better the lives of these children and families in our communities and to ensure every child is safe, healthy, and prepared for life. It takes teamwork to make this happen. We thank you."
The Children's Home Society helps children with different mentoring programs. MODEL Mentoring works with children who have an incarcerated parent, Project 18 assists teens as they transition from foster care to independent living, and Teen Parent Initiative provides help to pregnant and parenting teens. |
